Cat damage

Cat damage can be distressing to the owners, especially on your new leather sofa. The damage caused by cats can vary from light scratches and pulls to extreme cases like illustrated in the photograph:

Once the leather was repaired it is advisable to owners to consider using scratch posts and other toys which will allow the cat to sharpen its claws, tell other cats about its territory and the main thing is to try and limit their access to the room.

Scratching is a natural behavior to cats and there is not much that can be done to prevent it. Some of the drastic options include declawing or re-homing – which obviously is down to your personal priorities – cat damaged sofa or not!

Dog or cat damage is best repaired since it is either way much more cost effective compared to replacing the furniture or the pet! Once you have a pet you have to lower your standards of housekeeping unless you keep the out of them out of the house.
